I just woke up and could not help but get my glasses to go and take a look what is happening. It looks like that you are still resting.
I too joint in thought and prayer for a refreshing, healing and so well deserved sleep.
May you wake up and feel that God has answered the so many prayers that have gone up to him.
Father in Heaven please let your will be done, for we know that if we believe, anything is possible through you. Let us (including Arvid and the crew) continue to believe in you, trust in you and accept your direction and guidance from this moment foward.
    Amen
I am going back to bed with a prayerful thought of you.

Don’t give up and MAY GOD HAVE HEALED YOU ENOUGH TO CONTINUE.

    Love,Elfie

  3. Hannah Cavey says:

This was the verse of the day from BibleGateway.com; I went there to find something to share, and it was done for me!

“Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.” Jeremiah 32:17

This LORD is on your side! He will accomplish his perfect will b/c you have sacrificed yourself for Him! God bless you as you rest this night!

  4. Tim and Miriam says:

    Arvid,
Today We saw several eagles at the zoo and I was reminded of Isaiah 40 “Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary”. The good news is that you don’t have to be a youth, because that wouldn’t help anyway. Thanks for being a true success, you are changing lives for the long-long-term. We look forward to seeing you at Bird’s Hill Park and we will keep you in our prayers.

  5. Dear Father:
SO many of us are agreeting in prayer for Arvid. You see and know his heart. You know his mind and body. You are the GREAT physician. Please, Father, encourage his spirit and his body with your peace and healing. May he experience “being strengthened with all power according to Your glorious might so that he may have great endurance and patience and joyfully giving thanks to You…” Father we need Your intervention. Let Arvid experience Your lifting, Your motivation, Your strength. May You be glorified in this amazing trip! Meet Arvid where he’s at, and the rest of the crew as well. Give them all what they need, so when they look back at this time of rest, they will so clearly see Your hand. Thank You that You hear and You will answer. We need you! In Jesus’ Name, AMEN.

  6. Dorothy Funk says:

God bless you as you rest Arvid. Every mile you have biked and will bike is speaking volumes about your passion for the children in Africa who needs to be rescued and have already been rescued by Charles and Esther!! Be safe and look after your self!

  7. Lisa Kelly says:

    Hey Arvid,

My name is Lisa and I’ve been following you’re race. You don’t know me but I work at CMU so I’ve heard a lot about you 🙂 I was praying for you this afternoon and God brought to mind something a professor said in one of my spirituality classes in College which was “Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is sleep” I thought this odd but once I logged on and saw this update it seemed so
appropriate. I just wanted to share that thought with you because sometimes the absolute best way you can serve God is to get the rest you need in order to continue forward in the best way possible. You are doing an amazing thing for the kids at MCF and your strength and endurance are amazing! Many blessings.

  8. Kathryn Balzer says:

We continue to entrust this event to God. I will always remember when Evan was about 6 years old, treking around our driveway on his bike. He was imitating you then. Now, he has an opportunity to observe you in action – your trust, your commitment, your care for others etc. Thank you for modeling beauty to us.

Arvid's Role

God has called me (Arvid) to be an ambassador for Mully Children's Family. I have chosen to use ultramarathon cycling as my platform from which to fulfill this calling. You can follow my ride, here, at www.grandpascan.com/ride. To read more about me and my story, click here.
