Prayers for Arvid
Goodbye
When Arvid is missing his grandchildren, which is often, he glances down and looks at the painted pebbles that are mounted on his bike in their favorite colours and with their first initial and he feels so blessed. Grandchildren – you make life so sweet!
Every time we open the hood of the van and see the jug of hot water, we think of Henry. Thank you Henry! It is working great
Thank you to Josh for the bike maintenance tutorial before we left. I just had to change a set of wheels and brake pads on Arvid’s bike and it all went well thanks to your good coaching.
Day 7 had a headwind for the entire day.
Distance: 355km (total 3040km)
Riding Average: 22.3km/h
Sleep Time: 4 hours
Gap to pacer: 7h 8m behind
Jeremiah 17:7, “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”
A chaque instant que je regarde Arvid debout sur ses pédales affrontant toutes ces énormes montagnes je ne cesse pas d’admirer sa détermination qui est un reflet de sa foi et son amour du Seigneur
We are getting close to ThunderBay there are lots and lots of climbing but more disappointing than that the wind is blowing from the East again. We have not found any warm food or coffee since 3am this morning.
I think MCF should open a Tim Horton on HWY 102 franchise with us Canadians being “the benificiaries ”
From grand pa Arvid
Starting to cool off and we are thankful for long hours of daylight and the wind dying down. Arvid arrives in English River.
We are trying to find the follow crew. Tonight it is so dark.
We are looking for a light in the darkness. We know they are there because we know there is light in the darkness.
