Bedtime story about Grandpa Arvid.
Once upon a time Grandpa Arvid was a little boy, well he was my little brother. He loved biking, even when he was a very small boy. Not really a surprise, is it? He never had a tricycle or a bike with training wheels. No, that would have been a dream for a little boy like him. We had a men’s family bike. When Grandpa Arvid was preschool, maybe 5-6 years old, he so very, very much wanted to ride the new family bike.
As the youngest in the family, he would not hang back from the rest of the siblings, who all learned to ride the new bike. But Grandpa Arvid was short and could not swing his leg over the crossbar. So, with some help from Dad he got onto the bike, sticking his right leg through and underneath the bar and started to pedal. Before long he got the hang of it and in no time you could see this adult bike coming down the road with a little boy hanging on the side, at times looking under the steering bar and other times above the steering bar. I wonder if Grandpa Arvid would be riding his bike today with de same endurance and determination, if he had not had that special training time as a youngster. More courage to you Grandpa Arvid, Irene

About MCF
Charles Mulli is a former street child from the slums of Kenya. He became extremely successful in business, but then God called him to give it all up and care for the orphaned and abandoned children still on the streets in Kenya. Charles Mulli is the founder and CEO of Mully Children's Family. To learn more about MCF, click here.
Arvid's Role
God has called me (Arvid) to be an ambassador for Mully Children's Family. I have chosen to use ultramarathon cycling as my platform from which to fulfill this calling. You can follow my ride, here, at www.grandpascan.com/ride. To read more about me and my story, click here.
I am asking you to help. I am trying to raise funds for the ongoing and capital expenses for the child mothers program at MCF. This program provides the critical life skills the young mothers need. To learn more about donating, click here.
