Family & friends gather in Winnipeg at NKMB to watch the live stream at the finish line
Arvid Loewen has just completed a trans-Canada race from Vancouver City Hall to Halifax City Hall, with a time of 13 DAYS, 6 HOURS, 13 MINUTES (exact time to be verified). Current Guinness World Record was 13 days, 9 hours, 6 minutes.
An incredible trans-Canada trek of 6040km complete!!
Congratulations Arvid. The magnitude of this moment is only dwarfed by the dream you carry to make a difference in the lives of thousands of forgotten and abandoned street kids in Kenya. Through your efforts many children will have a chance to beat impossible odds and experience hope.

This late in the race we’re not going to let Arvid out of our sight. The minivan pealed off to pick something up for Arvid and the RV is now giving chase. The highway is super busy, but we finally have a shoulder again. The safety factor has gone up considerably now that he’s not traveling in a driving lane anymore.
At 1:00 we changed crews. Ruth, Vic and Josh are now following Arvid in the minivan. At our last calculation Arvid has about 100km to go. Even though we have full confidence in Arvid we’re still nervous and excited. We can’t take anything forgranted at this point.
