8 year old Charity prayed for Arvid at a short break in Roger’s Pass. It is really amazing considering that Arvid carried a picture of Charity across Canada in the Spoke2005 tour.
Good morning!
We are on the net and happy bout it. Arvid is just a smidge ahead of last year’s pace after the night, mostly because he slept 15 minutes. We are chugging through Revelstoke an moving on. Picked him up a coffee and updating the stats. Keep your eyes on grandpascan.com/ride. Share the site with your friends (acquaintances too), and donate! Thanks for your prayers and support.

We’re past 550km as of 4:45 local. Arvid is taking 15 minutes to sleep. He had a shower at the crew hotel in Sicamous. Weather is still cold, foggy, and damp. No idea when will hit service and this email will shoot off. Sorry for the bad service but blame the mountains, which we’ve still hardly seen the summits of. I ended that sentence with a preposition but I slept only 4 hours. Will update when we can.
It’s 12:48am local time and as we approach Salmon Arm we suddenly spot a person standing at the side of the road cheering! Turns out it was Abe Stobbe, formerly from Arnold Community Church. Thank you Abe for coming out and cheering us on and then following Arvid so we could go and get gas.
Welcome to beautiful Salmon Arm and the great people at Shuswap Community Church! It was a fun and meaningful evening. Thank you so much for having us! -MCF Team Van
Not only is he an excellent guy and an accomplished acrobat, but Benedict has also learned to use chopsticks. Cool stuff! He got it right away. -MCF Team Van
