Reception

Sorry if we have had fewer posts the past few hours. We have had very unpredictable cell phone reception.

We have also been using the intermittent minutes of reception to read comments and emails of encouragement to Arvid. He is often moved to tears (as is the crew) by your words of blessing. Thank you.

Ignace

Arvid enjoyed a bird bath here followed by a steak sandwich from Subway. Then it was time to hit the road again!

Have you ever tried walking through a drive-thru?

Arlene thought she would try it but it is not that straightforward. Standing in line with the cars is an odd feeling. Reason for this is that the van (with the bike mounted in top) is too high for the drive-thru.

Arvid’s ‘night’

Arvid stopped at midnight and slept for two hours. He was then slowly roused back to consciousness with a hot coffee and bagel. His injuries are most painful and sensitive first thing in the morning so it is slow moving. His dreaming had him confused because the parking lots between Tim Hortons and McDonalds did not line up and he could not resolve this issue.

About MCF

Charles Mulli is a former street child from the slums of Kenya. He became extremely successful in business, but then God called him to give it all up and care for the orphaned and abandoned children still on the streets in Kenya. Charles Mulli is the founder and CEO of Mully Children's Family. To learn more about MCF, click here.

Arvid's Role

God has called me (Arvid) to be an ambassador for Mully Children's Family. I have chosen to use ultramarathon cycling as my platform from which to fulfill this calling. You can follow my ride, here, at www.grandpascan.com/ride. To read more about me and my story, click here.

Donate

I am asking you to help. I am trying to raise funds for the ongoing and capital expenses for the child mothers program at MCF. This program provides the critical life skills the young mothers need. To learn more about donating, click here.
