Day 15 Verse

A message from Daddy Mulli

It has been an amazing journey on riding bicycle from a human being. I  can not imagine the strength  and energy needed to cover the long distance from Vancouver to Halifax. Arvid is doing very well and trust the Lord for great time ahead. The support team and Ruth are all in high spirited. It has been a very difficult and a hard journey of all time in a modern human history. Please continue holding him in prayer.

Night and sleep

No sleeping for Arvid. 1 hour here 30 minutes there. I (Martine )had 5 hours straight in a warm bed and I want to complain “I did not have enough sleep” As soon I start my shift and follow Arvid I wonder “how is it possible to keep biking and not sleep? ”

This picture show Isaac trying to find warm gloves for Arvid. In the van every inches are important.

Edmundston!

Arvid pedalled in to Edmundston a few minutes ago and promptly climbed in to the van bed for a 2.5 hour night. Weldon & Arlene went to work on bike maintenance in the Tim Hortons parking lot.

We are so happy to be in New Brunswick!

This is the first time we have had cell reception all day and we apologize for the lack of communication.

Day 14 Verse

Philippians 3:13-14, “Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

Thoughts from the crew

1. Arvid has less than 1000 km left. I don’t know how I would pedal 1000 km to save my life. Watching Arvid every day on the road increases my respect and admiration for his character and resolve. He is as passionate as he is committed to improving the lives of Kenyan children through Mully Children’s Family. It is a privilege to be a part of this ride. (Weldon)

About MCF

Charles Mulli is a former street child from the slums of Kenya. He became extremely successful in business, but then God called him to give it all up and care for the orphaned and abandoned children still on the streets in Kenya. Charles Mulli is the founder and CEO of Mully Children's Family. To learn more about MCF, click here.

Arvid's Role

God has called me (Arvid) to be an ambassador for Mully Children's Family. I have chosen to use ultramarathon cycling as my platform from which to fulfill this calling. You can follow my ride, here, at www.grandpascan.com/ride. To read more about me and my story, click here.

Donate

I am asking you to help. I am trying to raise funds for the ongoing and capital expenses for the child mothers program at MCF. This program provides the critical life skills the young mothers need. To learn more about donating, click here.
