The first of our posts featuring someone on the outside looking in. Special thanks to Arvid’s grand-nephew Teagan, for sharing your take on Arvid’s adventures.
Hi my name is Teagan Janzen and I’m ten years old. Arvid Loewen is my great uncle. I love reading Guinness books of world records, and it’s so cool to have a family member who broke a record and is in a Guinness book!
On Thursday evening my family and I were all comfy cosy in our house and it was pouring rain outside. Then we decided to go cheer on my uncle. There he was on his bike in the rain and was just biking, biking, and biking some more! And we were in our warm dry truck, with the windows rolled down, showing our support.
I also saw him biking on Tuesday when we were coming home from a field trip at Lower Fort Gary. Me and some of my friends from Sunday school were jumping up and down in our seats when we saw the signs and then we saw U. Arvid biking, we knew it was him because of his “Grandpas Can” jersey.
It’s so cool what he’s doing with his talent of cycling to help kids in Kenya Africa. It’s awesome that he’s raised so much money. We all pray for and love U, Arvid.

Thanks for posting Teagan! I am encouraged by your support for him and I know he is too.
Funny to think that when we go to sleep, when we wake up, there is a high chance he is still biking right then!
And that’s so neat that you rode by him on a field trip!
