Around 5 PM and Arvid has his first off bike break. Arvid says that he has done about 200 kilometres. All is well so far.

He became extremely successful in business, but then God called him to give it all up and care for the orphaned and abandoned children still on the streets in Kenya. It was great to see you off this morning. When you pushed off I thought: 22 (or so)days of intense cycling ….. I would not be able to smile,I would be scared, but you made it look like you were just going to cycle around the block.
