Event Launch and Press Conference, 11am Thursday, June 23

This Thursday at 11am at Bikes and Beyond (233 Henderson Hwy), Arvid Loewen will hold an Event Launch and Press Conference. At that time he will be presented with a $50,000 2x3foot UNSIGNED cheque from local business couple, Frank and Agnes DeFehr. If Arvid rides at record pace and breaks the Guinness World Record for the fastest ride across Canada, Frank will sign the cheque in support of Mully Childrens Family. At the event, you will also see the brand new road bike (valued at $6000) that Bikes and Beyond has made available to Arvid. The event will give Arvid an opportunity to thank the many sponsors, donors, friends and family for undertaking this ride. Arvid hopes to raise $100 for food, healthcare and education for each of the 2,000 orphaned street kids at Mully Childrens Family in Kenya. He plans to reach that goal of $200,000 one pedal at a time. Join him.

THIS IS AN OPEN MEDIA EVENT.

About MCF

Charles Mulli is a former street child from the slums of Kenya. He became extremely successful in business, but then God called him to give it all up and care for the orphaned and abandoned children still on the streets in Kenya. Charles Mulli is the founder and CEO of Mully Children's Family. To learn more about MCF, click here.

Arvid's Role

God has called me (Arvid) to be an ambassador for Mully Children's Family. I have chosen to use ultramarathon cycling as my platform from which to fulfill this calling. You can follow my ride, here, at www.grandpascan.com/ride. To read more about me and my story, click here.

Donate

I am asking you to help. I am trying to raise funds for the ongoing and capital expenses for the child mothers program at MCF. This program provides the critical life skills the young mothers need. To learn more about donating, click here.
