Chilling in Trinidad

Trinidad is a town in Colorado, if you’re confused and have the Bahamas running through your head.

Arvid’s fifth day went very well – he and the wind made friends the whole day, which added to his time and gave him a boost in the uphill climbs. He also achieved his second highest speed on a bicycle ever – 92 km/h. His spirits were lifted and sustained by some unbelievable scenery throughout the ride. He is resting in Trinidad, CO, and will continue on his journey in just over an hour’s time.

Arvid is currently second place in his age category, behind Franz Wintersberger.

And so RAAM carries on!

Good Morning dad, we are heading out soon for the Manitoba Marathon relay this morning. While I am only running 9ish kms, know that I may feel some pain too and pray for you on Fathers Day. We all love you and Oliver has asked numerous times if he can go on a bike ride with you when you come back. He could handle a couple kms now.

  2. Sandi says:

Way to go Arvid! May God continue to give you the strength and focus that you need for each day. “Happy Father’s Day” to you and to Weldon, and the other dads on the crew!

  3. Jodi Friesen says:

This morning I am praying that the crew would also feel like they have a “tailwind” – ie that things are clicking between you all and that tasks are happening without hiccups.

About MCF

Charles Mulli is a former street child from the slums of Kenya. He became extremely successful in business, but then God called him to give it all up and care for the orphaned and abandoned children still on the streets in Kenya. Charles Mulli is the founder and CEO of Mully Children's Family. To learn more about MCF, click here.

Arvid's Role

God has called me (Arvid) to be an ambassador for Mully Children's Family. I have chosen to use ultramarathon cycling as my platform from which to fulfill this calling. You can follow my ride, here, at www.grandpascan.com/ride. To read more about me and my story, click here.

Donate

I am asking you to help. I am trying to raise funds for the ongoing and capital expenses for the child mothers program at MCF. This program provides the critical life skills the young mothers need. To learn more about donating, click here.
