Our last night

It is shortly before midnight of our last night. Nights have been (and continue to be) extremely difficult but I am thrilled to say I expect this one to go much better.

Reason being, that our three wonderful kids and their spouses along with some friends and family bought a ticket to send Ruth to join us for the last stretch. Ruth has been and continues to be the crew chief with the best understanding of my needs I could ever hope for. Thanks for being here.

So glad Mom could be there with you dad! You have some pretty great friends and family who supported you too. Enjoy the last day as much as possible. Looking forward to having you back. But every time we pray with Oliver, we pray for Grampa going to the big water on his bike. It will be nice to know you’ve made it.

Soooo happy to see that Ruth is with you!! What a gift your children gave you. Have a great ride today.
This night at home I woke up every once in awhile and in my semi state of awakeness, I was shocked that Walter and I were both sleeping and not at least one of us was looking after you!! Still in support crew mode!

I was so glad when I saw the first picture (a few posts ago) that had Ruth in it, standing by you. What a sweet surprise for her to get the ticket. We are so glad she is by your side for these last 500 kms or whatever it is at this point. You are finishing well Arvid – and like you said – she does have the best understanding of your needs that you could ever hope for. I will be praying for you as you cycle through this night, and as you cycle – my prayer would be that you would be kept alert, safe, and strong.
We are cheering you on to the finish in Halifax! Have a good night Ruth – I bet you are so glad you are there by his side!! What a great ending.

About MCF

Charles Mulli is a former street child from the slums of Kenya. He became extremely successful in business, but then God called him to give it all up and care for the orphaned and abandoned children still on the streets in Kenya. Charles Mulli is the founder and CEO of Mully Children's Family. To learn more about MCF, click here.

Arvid's Role

God has called me (Arvid) to be an ambassador for Mully Children's Family. I have chosen to use ultramarathon cycling as my platform from which to fulfill this calling. You can follow my ride, here, at www.grandpascan.com/ride. To read more about me and my story, click here.

Donate

I am asking you to help. I am trying to raise funds for the ongoing and capital expenses for the child mothers program at MCF. This program provides the critical life skills the young mothers need. To learn more about donating, click here.
