This year the Time Stations are being calculated differently than last year. Last year all we had was the total time of the previous record to work with – so we calculated the average pace and used that at every time station. What this meant was a dependable and predictable speed from the “ghost” rider. This year, because we have Arvid’s actual TS data from last year, we’re using that information. Where last year’s Arvid slept, this year Arvid will jump ahead – and vice versa. It makes it a little less predictable. If we calculated the “ghost” rider the same way this year as last year, Arvid would be 11h 44m AHEAD at Iroquois.
