RAAM 2013 is the world’s toughest bike race. Beginning in Oceanside, California and ending in Annapolis, Maryland, Race Across America covers more than 3000 miles in less than 12 days, starting on June 11th. RAAM has a historical DNF (Did Not Finish) rate of about 45%. In its 32-year history less than 300 different solo riders have become official RAAM finishers. To accomplish that goal, riders will need to be on the bike at least 20hrs/day, surviving on 90 minutes of sleep.

RAAM has become the perfect event to raise funds for charitable causes, and it is an excellent opportunity to give Mully Children’s Family international exposure. I have a 51% chance of becoming an official RAAM finisher, but I have a 100% chance of making a difference.
